Young men and men of color have few safe spaces to express their feelings, share ideas, and cultivate character. They lack consistent access to robust and well-funded resources in the community to support their social, emotional, cultural, civic, and economic development.
The B.R.O. Experience stands for Brothers Redefining Opportunity. Our mission is to build better humans by teaching and encouraging participants to be community change agents who are authentic, brave, and connected.

The Work We Do
The BRO Space
The BRO Space is our Brooklyn transformational space supporting young men and their families. We believe that carefully curated and intentional physical locations are essential for mentorship and fostering the art of self.
The BRO Project
The BRO Project is an immersive 9-month journey tailored to empower young men of color, aged 18 to 24, seeking reconnection to community, school, and their greater purpose.
BRO X Rites of Passage
BRO X Rites of Passage is a four-year transformational mentoring program that supports male high-schoolers through their academic journey and self-development process.
Behind the Bars
Behind the Bars is a music-focused cognitive-behavioral program for middle and high schoolers, using lyrics and poetry to inspire reflection, connection, and growth.
The Little BRO Programs
Little BRO Summer Camp and Little BRO Saturdays offer 3rd-5th grader boys a nurturing environment to build literacy, creativity, friendships, and social-emotional skills.
HERO Dads
A tailored program for non-custodial fathers (ages 18-30), HERO Dads helps build the skills for loving parenting and healthy family relationships.
