The B.R.O. Experience Wins a Grant from the Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund

Great news! We’re very proud to be among this year’s grantees of the Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund. This $35,000 capacity-building grant is designed to help community-based organizations solidify their foundational operations and grow impact. With it we will increase the capacity of internal staff as well as allow us to bring in some outstanding individuals to work on grant-writing and funding-focused media and public relations.

Now in its tenth cohort of grantees, the CCNSF was spearheaded by the New York Urban League, Hispanic Federation, Coalition for Asian American Children and Families, and Asian American Federation and is funded by the New York City Council.

“The first New York City Council fund of its kind, CCNSF aims to build the capacity of New York City nonprofits in recognition of the fact that organizations led by people of the community are best equipped to meet the needs of the community.”

We extend our humble gratitude for this opportunity to further support the mental health and wellbeing of Brooklyn’s young men and their families with innovative, compassionate, and life-changing programs.
